From Dive Centre to Dream Resort
Our journey began in 2012 with a single boat and a passion for the ocean. Founded under the name Tioman Dive Buddy, we spent over a decade guiding thousands of divers through the coral reefs of Malaysia.
However, we noticed something was missing in Kampung Genting: accommodation that truly understood the needs of a modern traveler. Divers wanted more than just a bed; they wanted reliable WiFi, hot showers with good pressure, and a place that felt like home.
So, we built TDB Tioman Resort.
Today, we are proud to be part of the larger TDB Group, managing dive centers and resorts across Malaysia—from the rugged shores of Tenggol to the crystal waters of Semporna. Frequently Asked Questions
What ferry should I take to get there?
You can take Bluewater Ferry or Cataferry from either Mersing Jetty or Tanjung Gemok Jetty. Please select Kampung Genting as your drop-off point. We are a 5-minute walk from the jetty.
Is there food nearby (Halal)?
Yes! We are located in the heart of a Muslim village. There are many Halal eateries (Warungs) serving Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, BBQ Seafood, and Tom Yam within a 2-5 minute walk.
Can I book diving packages with you?
Absolutely. Our resort is integrated with Tioman Dive Buddy (PADI 5-Star Center). We offer Discovery Scuba, Open Water Courses, and Leisure Dives. You can book them together with your room.
Do you provide towels and toiletries?
Yes, fresh towels and basic toiletries (soap/shampoo) are provided in all Quad Rooms. For Dormitory guests, towels are provided, and soap is available in the shared showers.
Is the resort suitable for non-divers?
Definitely. While we love diving, many guests come just to relax on the beach, snorkel, hike the jungle trails, or enjoy the peaceful village vibe of Kampung Genting.
